It's October 31st and the kids are dressed up for school. You may guess for Halloween, but you would be wrong. It's actually for a Vocabulary parade. Yup you heard it. Apparently they aren't allowed to celebrate Halloween (among others Christmas, Easter, etc). They have to think of a word and then we figure out a costume and attach the word with definition. Julia thought of a Candy Corn so she's sporting a hat I made her, a white shirt, an orange skirt with yellow tulle on the bottom. I was just happy that she liked what I made her. Spencer chose to be a bat. His costume didn't take as much time, just had to cut out a cape out of black felt and sew on ribbon to tie on the top. We went to school to watch the parade. They get to walk around the inside of the school and sport the costumes. They had fun.
