I love hats

Here's Sawyer sporting a cute hat! This picture was taken just before he decided temper tantrums are an acceptable behavior in our home! Man 2-3 year olds are difficult for my minute by minute patience. Good thing he's good lookin'!

1st Day of School-2009

Julia started 2nd grade and Spencer started 1st grade. Madi missed the cut off by 9 days. Bummer. They had a good time in school. We did however decide to take them out and I am now currently homeschooling all of them, including Madi for Kindergarten. It's a circus and I'm trying to do the best I know how. At least I know I love my kids to the moon and back.

Christmas project in progress

I've been afraid of starting this, cause I usually just do quilts with squares and nothing else. Well, it's been pretty easy so far. You just use freezer paper to put on each stack and then cut that out into the pieces. It's a bit time consuming, but I'm so excited to be able to finish this before Christmas (hopefully).

4th of July Parade

Fourth of July parade. It was so miserably hot, I can't believe we even went to the park. They had fun decorating their bikes, eating popsicles. Spencer go so dehydrated that he got pale and felt very sick. He didn't get to do the parade, but the girls did.

Pickles

We went to a Downtown farmers market a couple of months ago. I saw pickling cucumbers and had to try canning pickles. I didn't have very many, it only made enough for 4. But it was so fun and I love to look at them.

Flee Market in Houston

One Saturday we decided to head down to a huge huge flee market. It was classic. From dogs, to literal garage sale garbage. The kids each got a small toy. It was hot, but pretty fun. Madi was not too happy after a while in the heat.
