First day of School

Well I thought I had everything prepared for the first day of school. I had the table set for breakfast the night before, outfits picked out and a game plan. We all walked together to school, even Dad, and then I see cameras everywhere. I forgot my camera. Now this being a very tramatic day for me already, I was now devastated that I could forget such a thing. I didn't know if I would be able to walk my kids to their classrooms, because they are very strict here. But alas, they let me walk in the building for three days which was a relief for me. (I'm still getting used to Texas schools). Anyway I put on my bravest face and dropped off my kids in their classes, walking out with tear starting to come. As I saw Doug outside the building with the other kids, I started crying, and we hurried to get away from lots of people, so I could cry all the way home. I don't really like school and how they take my kids from me for 8 hours a day.
Spencer has done very well this week. He got into the wrong line to leave the school and didn't come out the right side of the school, so that kind of scared him, but he put on his bravest face and didn't cry till I talked to him about at home. Julia says she has the best teacher ever, and she has some old friends in her new class. Spencer is making friends very well. And he has Julia teacher from last year which was a must for me. So, we have been very blessed so far. I just wish is wasn't so darn long. Kind of lonely for me. It's hard to be a mom.
