First Day of School- 2012
I'm so not a fan of sending the kids away from me for 8 hours each day. But these kids were sure excited to go and learn and have fun and meet new friends. We are pleased with the teachers they were assigned and even on the second day, they are all happy and wanting to go back. I love living so close to the school. I can drop them off and pick them up and it takes only a couple of minutes to walk across the parking lot (which is one of the reasons we bought this house).
Julia -5th Grade She's very excited to be the oldest of the school. She loves to dress "in style". She loves to read and read. This year she is going to join choir and also do Orchestra after school two days a week. She is thrilled.
Spencer- 4th Grade Spencer was very excited to get back to school. He loves to learn and does very well at each subject. He has a buddy in his class, which makes things great. He is so kind to everyone. He's a charmer.
Madisen- 2nd Grade Madi was so excited to start school. She was excited most of the summer to get going. She has so much energy and loves to make friends. Friends tend to flock to Madisen and she can never figure out why. She has planned most of her "outfits" for the first week of school and is so excited to be "cute". She's a very good student and is a quick learner.
Saywer- Kindergarten - He has been waiting for this day to come for sometime. He thought this summer was so long because he couldn't wait. He will be a great learner and he is very obedient to the teacher. He seems to have nice teachers, which I am thankful. I hope to work with his class as much as I can so I can "check in on him". He had lunch at school without his mommy probably for the first time ever. He is excited to have PE and Music and also go to recess each day. His siblings get excited when they see him at school and make sure they wave to him. He was a bit nervous, but mostly excited the first day of school. He did say he wanted a picture of me in his lunchbox so he wouldn't forget me. Talk about melt my heart. I only cried a dozen times because he was leaving (but never in front of him). The second day was a bit easier, and hopefully he'll get used to being gone so long and things will be more normal.
Logan- Staying at Home with his Mommy. This poor kid has two years at home with me. We're doing a preschool one day a week and we go to a music class at the church another day. 8 hours is a long time to be the sole entertainer of one child. We'll see how this goes.....
