How Does Your Garden Grow?

Julia had her 1st grade musical last night! She did great and was awesome! She knew all of the words, because she has been practicing the last week after school singing in her room. Here's the funny of the performance. First of all, the PTA has a meeting before the musical. So, everyone is told that it starts at 6:30 and the musical will follow. So, everyone has to attend the meeting or you don't get a seat (it's crowded). And normally we would videotape the performance but gave into the "buying a DVD copy from school" thing. Here's why... I don't know if it's just this school, you can let me know but people do not have good manners here at all during performances. Every production we have been to, we get decent seats maybe 6 rows back. And without fail, everyone just stands in front, crowds to the sides and doesn't even think about people trying to just watch the performance. If everyone would just sit down we could all see, but man people are wacky here. It doesn't get me excited to see a performance. Okay now I have said my peace. Look for Julia. Can you find her? She's the pail one with light hair. (It's a funny joke here in our house, cause we're always the minority here).

Our parents just talk through the entire performance! Hard to teach students appropriate audience behavior when they are just following the example of their parents. Julia sure is cute!
