Frustrated
Do you ever get frustrated with finding doctors? We've had one for over a year and with the increase of visits for Logan and sick kids this year, we have not been pleased. They never solve anything. (example, sending Spencer to a podiatrist for a small wart on foot). So, my nice husband sets out to find me another doctor. I went yesterday for Logan's 2 month check. They were nice. But I'm wondering why me, as a consumer shouldn't be more appreciated to be coming to them. I have 5 kids, which any doctor should love. We get into the exam room and the doctor doesn't even ask, "why are you switching", or "welcome to our practice", or "we're glad you brought your business here". I was expecting some sort of conversation but got none. And also, there were no books or toys for kids in the room. I found that odd since it's a pediatric office. Maybe I'm just picky, but I miss my Dad's office and I'm convinced that there has to be an office with good bedside manners and glad to have a big family. I guess I'm going to stick this doctor out, but mainly because I don't want to switch again. It's a lot of paperwork.

Emily, I totally agree! I had the worst experience with switching doctors during my pregnancy! The doctors I came to out here were so awful the first time I went in. I stood at the counter for probably ten minutes before they would acknowledge me and then they yelled at me about my insurance for about twenty minutes. I went home crying! I miss the docs in Utah as well :(
I think it is getting harder and harder to find. I feel like cattle going to any of the clinics. I actually found a good one, finally!! Good luck!! I feel for you!!
It's true Em.....TX has TERRIBLE customer service in the medical field. It is awful, and I completely feel your pain being here. Every once in a while, I'll still call our pediatrician's office in UT or ID and ask them questions instead!! ha!! Don't tell :)
This is true. It is hard finding good doctors. I went to a fam med doc out here and he walked in wearing working boots (with mud), a jean shirt & jean pants on. His evaluation stunk and according to Matt "he did quite a few things wrong." Luckily, my OB and peds doc out here has been really great, but it took some searching. You guys were lucky you had your dad. From it, Matt HATES sitting in doctor's offices, haha. Good luck!!
