Logan Robert McArthur was born December 23, 2008 at 7:03pm. He weighed 9 pounds 1 ounce and 19 3/4 in. long. He was born very healthy. Since the night of his birth, we've had some roller coasters but it seems to be slowing down for the better now. After he was born, I had the nurses feed him some formula in the night so I could get rest, well he didn't like that much and started gagging. So, they decided to keep him and not let him come home till Christmas morning. So, I went home without my baby on Christmas Eve, which is not a good feeling for me. But he came home after the kids opened the presents and all was going well for a few days.
On Monday the 29th, we got his blood tested because all of our kids have pretty bad jaundice. We got a call that night saying we needed to take him as soon as we could leave to the Texas Childrens Hospital, checking in at the emergency room. Luckily my mom was coming into town that night, so the kids would be taken care of. We got checked in and Little Logan was admitted to the highest level of the NICU. He was put on Bili lights and he improved very quickly from there. It's been scary for me and I once again didn't have my baby home at night for 2 more nights. He was able to leave the hospital on Wednesday morning and I'm enjoying him in our home. His bili has gone back up to 14, but we think he'll continue to improve at home from now on. I'll give more details later, since you haven't heard the labor story yet...
We're glad to have a darling baby boy. One picture is at the hospital on Christmas Eve and the next is just tonight in a cute outfit from a great friend.
